Iran supports Bosnia EU bid

Gholam Ali Haddad Adel, Iran’s parliament speaker  Iranian parliament speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel has said that Tehran intends to boost its relations with the Balkan’s region.

“The Iranian parliament plans to ratify laws which would facilitate the expansion of relations with the Balkans,” Haddad-Adel said during talks with Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Prime Minister Nikola Spiric.

“The Iranian nation understands the problems your people and government face and Iran is ready to contribute to the reconstruction of the country,” the visiting Iranian parliament speaker said.

He added that Tehran supports Bosnia-Herzegovina’s bid to join the European Union.

The Bosnia official, for his part, expressed satisfaction with the Haddad Adel’s visit, saying that the two countries’ trade cooperation is limited.

He said that the two parliaments should take measures to strengthen bilateral relations.
