Major deal in USA Media business

The USA corporation – Clear Channel Communications Inc- was recently acquired by the Capital Fund company, Thomas H. Lee Partners & Bain Capital.

The former is the owner of some 1,150 radio stations across USA and the deal was for around 19 billion USD. The family that controlled the company -Mace-, are going to become some of the richest people in the USA and for the time being no defenite plans have been announced by the investors, on the fate of the radio station network. It is assumed however that the new ownership will move the radio stations, firmly into the internet era, thus “modernizing” them in order to confort to the challenges of the internet revolution.
